Ultrasound therapy
Ultrasound massage is treated with the high-frequency sound wave, imperceivable by humans; the sound wave will penetrate through the skin to the affected parts. The ultrasound will create vibration to the tissue at the depth of 2-5 cm, which produces heat to the tissue. The provided heat will help muscles, tendons, and joints loosen and ease the pain, create vasodilation at the affected parts. The modality is applied by most veterinarians in pets with bone and joint diseases.
Electrotherapy
The application of electricity in our treatment has the following goals
1. Electricity-induced muscle contractions, to maintain muscle strength and hinder muscle atrophy.
2. Electricity can control pain by inhibiting the neurons perceiving the pain.
